Once popular restaurant to open a third time, this time on Maltby Street

Dandy, formerly a cafe in a shopping container in London Fields, and then a bricks and mortar restaurant in Stoke Newington, is looking to return, this time to Maltby Street.

Those behind the cafe and restaurant have not long been crowdfunding for the new launch and have already amassed 65 per cent of the £75,000 investment needed.

Dandy was first the work of chef Dan Wilson (‘Dan‘) and Andy (‘dy’) Leitch. Today, with Leitch having returned to Melbourne, Wilson has partnered with restaurant entrepreneur Matt Wells.

Wells helped co-found The Dairy and Counter Culture in Clapham with Robin and Sarah Gill: both big favourites with Harden’s readers.

Dandy will focus on coffee, food, and natural wine. There’ll be a brewery on the mezzanine above. Expect modern European-style food and craft beer.
