Indian Restaurants in Brighton
1. The Chilli Pickle
Indian restaurant in Brighton
17 Jubilee St - BN1
“Still one of Brighton’s top Indians” – this Arts Quarter operation (est. 2008) offers “very good authentic cuisine, with dishes you usually never see here in the UK” – barbecue surf and turf, say, or interesting regional curries – and benefits from a “great atmosphere” too.
2. Indian Summer
Indian restaurant in Brighton
70 East Street - BN1
2022 Review: “Creative and delicious” – this pleasing Lanes spot, say fans, “takes Indian food to new heights”. One or two reporters this year, though, craved more spice here.
3. Curry Leaf Cafe
Indian restaurant in Brighton
60 Ship St - BN1
“Eat well in Brighton” at this South Indian street food café – a firm fixture of the buzzing Lanes that was launched in 2014 (and for some years also operated from a kiosk inside the local train station); the rather “bohemian” (or is that “garish”?) artwork isn’t to all tastes “but the food is truly homemade and spectacular and authentic to its roots” – and, as befits any boho joint, there’s a great line in craft beers to go with it.
