Summary
“Creative but delicious unfussy food and excellent wines” set the tone at this wine bar/restaurant opposite Hove Town Hall from industry veterans Paul Morgan and Sam Pryor, which has developed steadily over the past decade. About 30 bottles (including sparkling wines and sherries) usually available by the glass, along with a wide range produced nearby in Sussex. Top Tip – “Sunday sessions, set menus with wine tasting, are a particularly good way to spend an afternoon here”.
Summary
Eat “surrounded by bottles in this friendly and informal bistro”, which also doubles as a wine bar and shop. Reporters love the “inventive small-plates food and excellent wine list” – especially the set menu, which is “full of more adventurous things you might not normally order à la carte”.
Summary
A “great neighbourhood choice” – this restaurant/bar/wine shop in Hove serves “excellent small plates” plus a “delicious menu of dishes which is kept small enough to ensure freshness and innovation”. It’s a “warm and intimate” place which is now offering “one of the best tasting menus in town”.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Fourth and Church Restaurant Diner Reviews
"This was our second visit here. It took 2 years to go back because we were disappointed last time. But this was very different. Very impressed with the small plates and appetisers. Seabass crudo was excellent. Parma ham with pickled peaches also. A duck croquette was great too. Only the beetroot gnocchi was less good - bit stodgy "
