Mediterranean Restaurants in Belgravia
1. Vagabond Wines
Mediterranean restaurant in Belgravia
Unit 77, Nova Building, 77 Buckingham Palace Road - SW1W
2021 Review: A “wealth of wines by the glass” and “tasty nibbles”, help make this growing group of self-service wine bars a “fun way to try a selection of vintages from a multitude of small producers”. At the Battersea Power Station branch’s school you can educate your palate towards Wine & Spirit Education Trust certification and watch wine being made from grapes grown in Oxfordshire and Surrey.
2. Al Mare, Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel
Mediterranean restaurant in Belgravia
Cadogan Pl - SW1
2023 Review: “I was very sad to see the Rib Room go…” – this luxurious new Italian is a sequel to the age-old traditional British venture that sat (in a slightly different position) within the hotel for 60 years. And like its predecessor, it is certainly “expensive”. But while one or two reports write it off as being “disappointing all-round”, the majority are more upbeat. It is a “beautiful and well spaced room” with views of the leafy square, and most diners feel that Marco Calenzo’s cooking, which puts an emphasis on seafood, is “thankfully very good” or even “exceptional”. Top Tip – interesting option of a 45-minute business lunch.
