Martin Morales, the restaurateur behind Ceviche Soho and Ceviche Old St (pictured) and Shoreditch’s Andina, is set to launch a fourth Peruvian restaurant in London. Casita Andina is inspired by Peru’s ‘picanterias’ – family run, traditional restaurants – serving traditional Andean dishes and snacks. The venue will incorporate a pisco bar, ceviche counter, dining room and al-fresco dining patio.

Casita Andina is expected to launch on Soho’s Great Windmill Street on 28 July (Peruvian Independence Day).

Former senior sous chef from Covent Garden’s Lima Floral, Vitelio Reyes, heads up the kitchen. On the menu: Maca Lamb (huacatay marinated lamb loin, garlic maca uchucuta, heritage Peruvian potatoes, St George’s mushrooms, crushed spicy cancha); La Soltera (black quinoa, green peas, oca, lamb’s lettuce, queso fresco sauce); Cobia Tiradito (sustainable black king fish, rocoto tiger’s milk, pickled pineapple, nasturtium); Chupe (king prawns, coriander quinoa chicharrones, chupe liquor); and Choc con Sauco (Peruvian chocolate, queso fresco mousse, pisco-infused elderberries).

The ceviche counter, pisco bar and take-away area will be situated on the ground floor, with a 30-cover dining room upstairs leading out to an al-fresco dining patio seating eight.
