Michelin-starred street food Hawker Chan comes to London’s Kerb

This week Londoners will get the chance to try the world’s first Michelin-starred street food as Singapore’s Hawker Chan pitches up at Kerb in Granary Square, King’s Cross. Celebrated street food purveyor Chan Hong Men will be serving his signature soya sauce chicken rice box from the north London site from Wednesday 14-Friday 16 March, midday-2 pm, from a shipping container which has been re-decorated to look like an authentic hawker stall.

At £6 per box it is probably the cheapest Michelin-starred meal you will ever have the chance to eat. The catch? There are only 200 portions served each day.

We predicted epic queues and were not disappointed. Just check out this line of expectant foodies snaking its way around Granary Square. And that was just on day one! Thankfully foodies are a courteous bunch – no queue jumping or jostling allowed.

Hawker Chan was awarded its star by the tyre men in the 2016 Singapore edition. It has made the leap to pop-up in London thanks to the backing of Singapore Airlines.
