A daytime café/deli that morphs by night into a wine bar/bistro opens today a few doors along from The Knave of Clubs and One Club Row in Shoreditch High Street.
Clara’s is from the team behind The Farrier pub in Camden Market, which a closed a year ago. Head chef Elie Fourcroy, formerly of Artusi, has created a Mediterranean-inspired menu that is served alongside low-intervention European wines to drink at the retail price plus £15 per bottle.
Earlier in the day it is open for coffee, pastries, focaccia sandwiches and salads, with retail options that include charcuterie, cheeses and butchery cuts from the like of Provisions, HG Walter and Neal’s Yard Dairy, augmented by their own mozzarella made on-site.
Clara’s social media page promises: “This little place has big plans – tastings, workshops and more to come. Keep an eye on their feed, and stop by to see it all unfold.”
The bistro is open from Wednesday to Sunday.
