For those who just can’t wait for MasterChef to start again next year, there’s a pop-up opening today (2 September) that will scratch your itch. Over the next five weeks, winners and finalists – old and new – will be running a temporary restaurant and bar at the Blue Fin building in Southwark.

Tickets have already sold out for week one, which sees this year’s winner Ping Coombes and finalists Jack Lucas and Luke Owen heading up operations. In week two, 2011 winner Tim Anderson will take over, while Natalie Coleman (winner 2013) and Dhruv Baker (winner 2010) will helm the kitchen in weeks three and four. Coombes, Coleman and Lucas will also return on 29 September for the pop-up’s fifth and final week.

A range of menus from £20-65 per person are available Mon-Sun, including a three course Ã  la carte lunch, three course sharing supper or six course tasting menu (accompanied by a glass of champagne). Brunch is available Sat and Sun only.
