World’s top female chef in London

Ana Ros, newly crowned as top female chef by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants (see Harden’s report), will be cooking in London on June 14.

Ros, chef-patron of Hisa Franko in Slovenia, heads the line-up at Chefstock, the annual festival hosted by Alyn Williams at his restaurant in Mayfair’s Westbury Hotel.

Williams said this year’s Chefstock will be the first to host exclusively chefs from abroad.

The other participants are Petter Nilsson (June 7) of Spritmuseum in Stockholm, who takes inspiration from Swedish peasant culture; Anton Kovalkov (June 21), formerly of Farenheit in Moscow, who has been described as a “culinary hooligan”; and Tim Hollingsworth (June 28) of Otium in Los Angeles, formerly of Thomas Keller’s illustrious French Laundry.

The dinners, on Wednesday evenings in June, cost £180 a head including a glass of champagne, nibbles, coffee and service.
