There are still a few days of English Wine Week left and to really make the most of them Lamberts will host a nightly tasting menu with wine pairings showcasing the best bottles our vineyards have to offer. A regular favourite with our reporters, this popular Balham restaurant “excels in every way”.
From Tuesday 26-Saturday 30 May Lamberts will serve up a six course tasting menu paired with six 125ml glasses of wine for £70 per person (or £40 without wine).
On the menu: Smoked pheasant egg, celery salt (accompanied by Hindleap Blanc de Blanc 2010, Bluebell Vineyard Estates, East Sussex); cuttlefish, seaweed and cucumber (alongside a Cossack Vintage Sparkling 2010, Danebury Vineyards, Hampshire) and brill fillet, mussel and leek broth (paired with Bacchus Dry 2013, Camel Valley, Cornwall).
