D&D London’s Le Pont de la Tour may have “sensational” Tower Bridge views but our reporters noted a lack of passion food-wise in last year’s survey. Perhaps a new partnership is just the (ahem) caffeine injection the restaurant needs?
The South Bank icon has teamed up with ethical coffee brand CRU Kafe to introduce a range of savoury dishes, desserts and cocktails all made with fair-trade and organic coffee blends. The dishes and cocktails, created by chef Tom Cook and head barman Pancrazio Manconi, will be served throughout May.
The cocktail list includes The Ultimate Espresso Martini which blends Amaretto, butterscotch and coffee liqueur. On the menu: Confit duck leg, braised chicory and coffee foam; and grilled red mullet with champagne and coffee sauce.
