Sawyer & Gray augments St Paul’s Road hub

St Paul’s Road in Islington is becoming quite the hub of restaurant activity. First Trullo (founded by River Café alumnus Jordan Frieda) moved in, then LECOQ (from Salt Yard Group founder Sanja Morris and her sister Anna) set up camp beside it, and soon a new artisan café, Sawyer & Gray, will open next door.

Details are a bit thin on the ground right now but Harden’s hears that although the spot is being billed as a café and coffee house, it will in fact be an Italian all-day dining establishment serving (among other things) imported antipasti specialities, wine and prosecco.
