Hixter Bankside to open 30 July

Mark Hix will open his second Hixter restaurant on 30 July. Serving up the trademark ‘whole roast chicken or steaks to share’ that Hix pioneered at The Tramshed in Shoreditch, this latest outpost will be located in the basement of a one time Victorian tin box printing factory on Bankside.

The new site, close to the Tate Modern gallery and Borough Market, will be divided into two dining rooms, with Mark’s Bar in the basement. The opening is one of several Hix has planned under his Hixter brand. Look out for the trademark adornment of artworks by YBAs.

The restaurant is now taking bookings via www.hixterbankside.co.uk or 020-7921 9508.

Learn how to create Hixter’s signature roast chicken dish in your own home. Harden’s has teamed up with Mark to bring you the recipe.
