Top Irish talent to open Camden restaurant

Irish chef Adrian Martin will open Wildflower, a new fine dining restaurant, in Camden on March 2.

The 30-cover restaurant will be Martin’s first in London, and will be housed in a shipping container in Camden’s new eco market on Buck Street.

Martin, from Cavan, has been hailed as one of Ireland’s young up and coming chefs. Still only 28 years old, he is already a regular face on Irish television and has been in the trade for 12 years.

The chef has worked at the likes of MacNean House and as head pastry chef at Michelin-starred Bon Appetite, and has two cookery books.

Wildflower will focus on seasonality, foraged food, and Irish traditions, and will feature dishes such as onion and bacon bread, scallops with smoked burdock, and turbot with courgette flowers and broth. Expect oysters and Irish beef too.
