Gordon Ramsay promotes stalwart Matt Abé to co-chef patron at flagship restaurant

Gordon Ramsay has appointed Matt Abé co-chef patron at his three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on London’s Royal Hospital Road.

Abé has spent the past 12 years working for the celebrity chef, rising through the ranks of the group. He began his career in his native Australia, FIRST Aria Restaurant in Sydney and then later at Vue du Monde in Melbourne.

He moved to the UK aged 21 and joined Gordon Ramsay restaurants as chef de partie, before becoming sous chef at Claridge’s.

Ramsay opened the Chelsea restaurant 22 years ago and it has held three Michelin stars for the past 19 years.
