The whole ‘British pizza’ schtick was hardly an outstanding success for Jamie Oliver’s Union Jack restaurants, but GB Pizza Co seem to have cracked the formula.
Founded in Margate this pop-up-to-permanent pizzeria has now opened its second branch in London’s trendy Exmouth Market, offering its homegrown twist on the classic Italian dish. This includes such delights as the ‘Full English’ with a poached egg, as well as the ‘Fennel Salami’ (using salami from Cannon and Cannon in Brixton Market).
