This week Wedge Issue Pizza + Beer introduces New York-style thin crust pizza and craft beer on Clerkenwell Road. Their pies are made with dough proofed for three days, and a sauce made solely from crushed sweet San Marzano tomatoes.
Wedge Issue Pizza + Beer founders (and husband and wife) Darren Atwater and Martha Gall offer bespoke pizzas with a choice of either regular or gluten free base; San Marzano tomato, pesto or white sauce; mozzarella, ricotta, bufala or vegan cheese and any combination of 20 meat and vegetable toppings. Any pizza, any style for £8.50.
The beer comes from Weird Beard (west London), Anspach and Hobday (south London), Pressure Drop (north London) and East London Brewery; with soft drinks from Karma Cola and Square Root London.
Wedge Issue Pizza + Beer also takes reservations and will seat you even if your entire party hasn’t arrived yet – joy!
