Until end February 2016

A fiery, feisty pop-up from Saiphin Moore of Rosa’s Thai Café has taken up temporary residence in what will become the next Rosa’s Thai Café opening in Victoria’s Gillingham Street. Saiphin has decided to travel east of her Thai homeland and introduce Londoners to the flavours of Laos.

The 25-seat pop-up offers punchy Lao favourites. Sticking to traditional cooking techniques, Saiphin and her tiny team of chefs prepare everything on charcoal in an even tinier kitchen. On the menu: Isaan mini sausages (saigrok-isaan); eggplant salad with fresh herbs (yum-makuer-yao; dressed papaya salad (som-tun); chargrilled seabass (pla-yang) with chilli dip, fresh herbs and vegetables; Saiphin’s home-pickled salmon (pla-som); and freshly-made coconut ice-cream to finish.

Drinks include a selection of wines, homemade ice-teas, coffees and Chang beer. Open Monday-Saturday noon-10.30 pm, Sunday noon-10 pm.

Contact: 020 3813 6773, 25 Gillingham Street London SW1V 1HN.
