New take on pan-Asian cuisine in Covent Garden

Indian restaurateur Gobind Chona has opened his debut London venue Gura Gura, a pan-Asian bar and kitchen in the Yards development in Covent Garden. Set over two floors, Gura Gura presents his take on Japanese and Chinese cuisine, with excursions into Korea and Southeast Asia.

The menu is built around sushi, dim sum and a selection of small plates, with a smaller choice of large plates including seafood laksa and robata-grilled chicken rendang with shrimp samba and coconut rice.

Gobind is no stranger to mix-and-matching food and drink cultures. His New Delhi venture Tippling Street, which opened in 2017, is his interpretation of the vintage London gastropub.

Gura Gura’s neighbours in the Yards shopping and dining area include Laphet, Miscusi and Dishoom.
