Critics step into the chefs’ shoes

After food critics in Manchester proved they know their oven from their elbow, it’s the turn of the capital’s restaurant reviewers to do the same. Bill Knott of the Financial Times, Tracey MacLeod from the Independent and The Guardian’s Jay Rayner will all take part in the London leg of Too Many Critics, a series of events happening across the country this year to raise money for Action Against Hunger.

The three food writers will take over the kitchens at Italian restaurant L’Anima in the City on 8 June. Tickets for the event cost £120 and include a four course dinner with Italian wines and a champagne reception. Guests will also get the chance (if they’re into that sort of thing) to watch Jay, Bill and Tracey sweat it out in the kitchen, live via video-link.
