MPW continues expansion with two new sites

prco_uk_screenshot2014-03-26at12_03_29.pngWatch out Kenilworth and Kegworth, Marco Pierre White’s New York Italian brand is coming to a hotel dining room near you. The former enfant terrible of British cooking is expanding his restaurant empire through franchising company, Black & White, which aims to have 20 sites open by mid-2015 and 50 within the next four years.

Earlier this year MPW’s New York Italian was installed in Manchester’s Holiday Inn at MediaCityUK to – it must be said – a rather chilly reception from Manchester Confidential’s Gordo, who said the menu was trying so hard to be inoffensive and appeal to the broadest possible audience that eating there was ‘dispiriting’ experience.

The Kenilworth site, opening March next year, will also be housed within a Holiday Inn (at Kenilworth-Warwick on Abbey End), while the Kegworth venue, expected in April, will be in the independent Yew Lodge hotel on Packington Hill.
