
A Worthing restaurant that sources all its food and drink from the British Isles has reopened in smart new premises following a successful crowdfunding campaign.
Tern opened in 2023 in the nest space of Perch on the Pier, and founders Johnny Stanford and Sophie Harvey decided to turn it into something “truly special” with the launch of a crowdfunder in July last year. The initial target of £65,000 was reached within 36 hours, and the campaign went on to raise £88,000.
The new premises in Warwick Road opened in time for Christmas, and comprise a 26-cover dining room with an open kitchen, plus a basement cocktail bar.
