Battersea Power Station ups street cred

Battersea Power Station developers are clearly attempting to up their street cred with the insertion of a street-food market at the £8bn project. Plans to turn the iconic building into a hub of shops, restaurants and bars – with commercial and residential space – are already under way, and developers have now announced this hip and trendy addition.

A street-food market of 60 vans and stalls will be located on the third floor of Battersea Power Station, which will also house 115 – yes, one hundred and fifteen – food and drink outlets. A central lift will be installed to ferry the food trucks up and down the building.

The development is expected to be completed by 2016. Quite soon really, given the scale of the thing!
