Kerridge stirs his pot at Corinthia London

Tom Kerridge has reshuffled his central London offer at the grand Corinthia Hotel in Northumberland Avenue off Trafalgar Square, with the opening tomorrow of a new bar called Georgie’s.

It is named after the chef’s beloved boxer dog, whose paw print was preserved in cement during building at his Marlow flagship the Hand and Flowers in 2012 – you can see it embossed on the lid of his burger baps.

The venue, with its own entrance, was launched in 2018 as Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, and has effectively been split into two by a velvet partition. The restaurant, now smaller at 57 covers, is called simply Kerridge’s.

Food on offer in Georgie’s ranges from snacks like pork scratchings, beef jerky and buttermilk fried chicken to a Cheeseburger with BBQ brisket, Pink shellfish brioche rolls with Bloody Marie-rose sauce and Haddock fritters with Matson sauce.

Kerridge’s restaurant, run by head chef Tom Childs, offers a modern British menu with dishes like Crab crumpet with isot biber chilli, Orkney scallop pie with prawn, nduja and crab sauce and Whole Cornish lobster Thermidor with fine herbs and sauce américaine. The Chef’s Larder has been maintained, so diners can select their own cuts of meat.
