“After a difficult start” with “teething troubles” noted in a number of reports, the Italian link in the ever-growing Black Rock restaurant group seems to be on steadier ground this year. Under executive chef Lawrence McCarthy, formerly of London light The Ledbury, its primi and secondi are “very reliable”, and fans say “if it keeps up this standard Brighton will have another top Italian”.
