Pizza Restaurants in Oxshott
1. Bunga Bunga
Pizza restaurant in Battersea
37 Battersea Bridge Rd - SW11
The Bunga Bunga restaurant on the ground floor comprises our gondola bar and authentic Italian pizzeria. Enjoy our well renowned Bunga Bunga stone-baked pizza which we consider the best in London, accompanied with a unique cocktail and wine list covering all regions of Italy.
2. Hand in Hand
Pizza restaurant in Merton
6 Crooked Billet - SW19
“No flowery, fine-dining pretensions: just a warm, dog-friendly place with a short, but always interesting, menu” – such are the recommendations for this brilliantly run 1830s pub on the edge of Wimbledon Common, which does a roaring year-round trade, and makes particularly good use of its front terrace and lawn in the summer. Casks of guest beers and ciders are on display behind the bar (long-serving landlord Andrew Ford is a real ale enthusiast). Top Menu Tip – “the pies are worth the 20-minute wait!”
3. Cent Anni
Italian restaurant in Merton
33 High Street - SW19
This modern Italian in Wimbledon Village wins consistent – if consistently middling – ratings and is, say fans, the “ideal local”, with home-made pasta and thin-crust pizza topping the bill.
4. Pizza da Valter
Pizza restaurant in Wandsworth
207 Trinity Road - SW17
This seven-year-old independent a couple of doors along from Chez Bruce on the edge of Wandsworth Common is reckoned by fans to offer among the “best pizza in town”. “I only discovered it recently but it has become a favourite”.
5. Dynamo
Pizza restaurant in Balham
16-18 Ritherdon Road - SW17
2022 Review: “Great pizza in a cycle-themed restaurant”, alongside high-energy breakfast and brunch, washed down by decent coffee, fuel the peloton that passes through Putney on the way to and from Richmond Park – “what’s not to like?”. The branch in Balham closed down in 2020.
6. Oro Di Napoli
Pizza restaurant in Ealing
6 The Quadrant, Little Ealing Lane - W5
It may feel “like eating in a small caff”, but this outpost of Naples in suburban Ealing serves “simply the best pizza”. It’s “run family-style, so service is friendly” – and the high quality of the fare means “they can be busy”. Founded in 2014, it has a second branch in Hanwell.
7. Numero Uno
Italian restaurant in Battersea
139 Northcote Road - SW11
A “great old-school Italian” that has provided “engaging” and stalwart service in Clapham’s ‘Nappy Valley’ for decades, with “more than adequate food and a jolly relaxed atmosphere”.
8. Bravi Ragazzi
Pizza restaurant in Streatham
2a Sunnyhill Road - SW16
“Situated just off Streatham High Street”, this “tiny little place” is “filled with heart, serving amazing pizzas and spritzes that transport you straight to Italy”. “They regularly have interesting specials on the blackboard, but the normal menu has plenty of choice for all tastes”, including “by far some of the juiciest and most flavourful pizzas ever”.
9. Tarantella Ristorante Pizzeria
Italian restaurant in
4 Elliot Rd - W4
2022 Review: A “lovely local” near Turnham Green, this “family-owned Italian” is “tiny but with terrific food and atmosphere”. There’s a good range of pizzas but the Puglian dishes are what makes it special.
10. Pizza Metro
Italian restaurant in Battersea
64 Battersea Rise - SW11
The title of ‘best pizza in London’ is often claimed but impossible to prove – but the ‘longest pizza in London’ (so he claims) is found at Diego Palladino’s Battersea pizzeria, where it has been sold by the metre (‘al metro’) for more than 30 years. A meal here is “always fun (if a little loud) and the food is good”.
11. Santa Maria
Pizza restaurant in Chelsea
92-94 Waterford Road - SW6
“Top-class pizza at the new outlet by Kew Gardens” (on the site of Hawthorn, RIP) wins a particular thumbs-up this year for this “properly Neapolitan” chain (“down to the shrine to Diego Maradona on the wall” in TW9). It was well-rated this year, if not as stratospherically as days gone by, supporting those who feel: “I don’t seem as keen on this place as everyone else, but it’s fresh and friendly and local”. The group started in Ealing over 15 years ago and – as well as its Kew launch – also added a Paddington branch in 2025 to join those in Fitzrovia, Fulham and Islington.
12. The Oak W12
Italian restaurant in Shepherd's Bush
243 Goldhawk Rd - W12
This smartly converted pub in Ravenscourt Park offers a full menu of Italian starters and mains, but the highlight for most reporters is the “thin and crispy Roman-style pizza – so good”. (The Bird in Hand at Brook Green is a sibling on similar lines, while the Oak in Notting Hill was relaunched in July 2025 as The Good Oak under new owners).
13. Santa Maria
Pizza restaurant in Ealing
11 Bond Street - W5
“Top-class pizza at the new outlet by Kew Gardens” (on the site of Hawthorn, RIP) wins a particular thumbs-up this year for this “properly Neapolitan” chain (“down to the shrine to Diego Maradona on the wall” in TW9). It was well-rated this year, if not as stratospherically as days gone by, supporting those who feel: “I don’t seem as keen on this place as everyone else, but it’s fresh and friendly and local”. 14. Zia Lucia
Pizza restaurant in Brook Green
61 Blythe Road - W14
“Still our pizza favourite no matter how successful and busy they get… the black dough even makes you feel you’re eating healthy!” – this eight-strong chain has grown from its Islington base over the last ten years (est. 2016) and its successful formula revolves around four 48-hour slow-fermented doughs – charcoal, wholemeal, gluten-free and traditional. Of these the first is the most eye-catching: “interesting charcoal-based pizza with delicious toppings”. The original N7 branch near Arsenal and the W14 one (they call it ‘Hammersmith’ but it’s closer to Olympia) attract most feedback, but it’s the food that wins fans: for example, “the original one feels buzzy when Arsenal play at home when it’s packed out, but otherwise can feel a bit grim and loveless”.
15. Joe Public
Pizza restaurant in Clapham
4 The Pavement - SW4
2023 Review: “Fab” California-style pizzas (bigger and fresher toppings, apparently) are all you can eat at this handy converted public convenience next to Clapham Common tube, apart from the breakfast butties served until 2pm. There’s also red & white wine on tap, and own-label beers by the can.
16. 400 Rabbits
Pizza restaurant in West Norwood
521 Norwood Road - SE27
2023 Review: “Always fresh sourdough pizza” has helped build a strong local following for this hip southeast London group, with outlets in Crystal Palace, Nunhead, West Norwood, Herne Hill and Elephant & Castle. A new natural wine selection from specialist importer Les Caves de Pyrène is now available alongside the craft beers on tap. Top Tip – “make sure you leave room for the ice cream”.
17. The Hawk's Nest
Pizza restaurant in Shepherd's Bush
Goldhawk Rd, Shepherd's Bush Market - W12
2022 Review: With its foliage, fairy lights and heaters, this September 2020 newcomer – where tables are predominantly outside – injects a festive spark into a quirky space, next to Shepherd’s Bush market and the Goldhawk Road tube bridge (opposite the station). Founders Will Fuller of Soho House Group and Frazer Timmerman of Incipio Group aimed, apparently, to import a bit of East London groove to this converted railway arch and adjoining large yard, and judging by it being permanently packed they’ve succeeded! Pizza is the menu mainstay and staff try hard. A 120-seater, it’s also available for events.
18. The Bird in Hand
Pizza restaurant in West Kensington
88 Masbro Road - W14
2024 Review: “Great food and drink, especially pizza” makes it worth remembering this stylish (if sometimes noisy) Olympia pub-conversion, a few minutes’ walk from Brook Green (part of the Oak group).
19. 400 Rabbits
Pizza restaurant in Crystal Palace
30-32 Westow St - SE19
2023 Review: “Always fresh sourdough pizza” has helped build a strong local following for this hip southeast London group, with outlets in Crystal Palace, Nunhead, West Norwood, Herne Hill and Elephant & Castle. A new natural wine selection from specialist importer Les Caves de Pyrène is now available alongside the craft beers on tap. Top Tip – “make sure you leave room for the ice cream”.
20. Made in Italy
Italian restaurant in Chelsea
249 King’s Rd - SW3
“This King’s Road stalwart” is “still going strong after all these years” as “a good local standby for pizzas and pasta” (the latter only in SW3). “Always busy with a happy vibe – a great choice for a cheap and cheerful night out”. Its longstanding sibling in the ‘Nappy Valley’ closed in June 2025. Top Tip – covered rooftop terrace for walk-ins only.
