Opened in late 2024, this Lebanese newcomer stepped into the Kensington High Street premises recently departed by the Pascor (RIP). In his November 2024 review, the Observer’s Jay Rayner waxed lyrical about the unusual specials on the menu, incorporating ‘fweregh’ (stuffed lambs intestines) and ‘Sultan Ibrahim’: deep-fried red mullet with tahini sauce that’s “the kind of dish you fantasise about eating at some restaurant on a corniche at the eastern end of the Med, with the smell of salt and seaweed in your nostrils, as a blisteringly hot day gives way to the close, sagging warmth of an evening by the sea”.
