Small is beautiful for Latino wine bar

The team behind Latin American group Crudo have launched a new wine bar that they say may be the smallest in London. Tiny Wine in Foley Street, Fitzrovia can seat 22 guests in its 200 sq ft bar – although another 10 can stand in the wine shop, another 10 can sit outside and there is a ‘Secret Room’ private dining room seating 16 more.

Co-founder Maria Yanez said: “We’re excited to launch Tiny Wine as a new concept. Tiny Wine was born from a love of the little things: small producers, cosy spaces and great conversation. The Fitzrovia space felt like the perfect home for a wine bar that’s all about big flavours in small pours and bold Latin American bites.”

Maria and founding partner Carlos Socorro launched Crudo Cocina Latina in 2019, with sites in Covent Garden and Shoreditch. The Fitzrovia venue was operated as a branch of Crudo before assuming its new wine-bar guise, under which it offers a list of mostly natural or low-intervention wine sourced from small producers alongside a menu of South American-style gildas and bocadillos.
