veni moo mac wildThis summer street food sensations The Wild Game Co. will launch its first standalone restaurant Mac & Wild on Fitzrovia’s Great Titchfield Street. After doing the rounds at food markets and hosting pop-up supper clubs, this will be The Wild Game Co.’s first permanent home.

To celebrate, Mac & Wild will be offering diners a chance to try their award-wining Veni-Moo burger for just £5 24-30 August – a delicious mixture of a beef patty with a venison patty, bernaise sausce, cheese, caramelised onions and a brioche bun.

Founded by Andy Waugh, who hails from just north of Inverness, all of their meat is sourced and then butchered by his family’s game-butchering business, which has been in existence for over 30 years.

On the seasonal menu: Venison tartar, cured smoked scallops, venison steak, venison burgers with duck fat chips and whisky tipsy or horseradish toffee for dessert. Two tasting menus will also run alongside the à la carte menu. There will also be a selection of whisky-based cocktails and an extensive whisky collection.

Split over two floors, the 70-cover restaurant’s décor will continue the Scottish game theme with stags heads mounted on the walls and butchers hooks hanging from the ceiling.
