Imad’s Syrian Kitchen delayed – still, there’s much to look forward to in 2021

Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, much loved and long awaited, was ready to launch in Kingly Court, Soho, this side of Christmas.

It was set to be – and still will be – the first permanent Imad’s, having proven to be a hit pop-up for many years. The launch is now penned for early 2021.

The postponement was inevitable given the new tier three restrictions in London.

But alongside an announcement, the launch team Gemma Bell also mentioned another new opening – indeed, if there is little to celebrate now, there is much to look forward to.

“Coming next spring! Located on Bellefields Road in Brixton, Bellefields will consist of a restaurant, bar and courtyard space serving cuisine inspired the seas of the Mediterranean, from the Aegean and Balearic to the Levantine basin.

“The family run restaurant centres around years of treasured holidays to the Med and a wish to showcase the family’s much loved favourites from Turkey to Morocco to Spain and Greece.”
