A new, fun-filled, exploratory wine trip, with the aim of introducing you to new or perhaps unfamiliar grape sensations!
Launching this week: Blind wine flight at The Colony Grill Room, Mayfair
This month, The Colony Grill Room at The Beaumont hotel in Mayfair are introducing their “Wine Discovery Journeys”, a newly launched blind wine flight that will see Sommeliers Giorgio Scavarelli and Antonio Verrando taking diners on an exploratory trip during dinner.
From this week, guests at The Colony can enjoy transatlantic favourites that the restaurant is known for, including the New York Shrimp Cocktail to start, and the Monkfish Wellington, South Coast Dover Sole and extensive New-York styled Grill menu (Hanger Steak, New York Strip Steak…) to follow, alongside an optional flight of wines to be tasted blind, for an additional £50 per head.
Available for tables of up to four guests, each guest will be offered a different selection of four wines, including classics as well as more unusual choices, carefully picked to match their taste preferences and chosen dishes. Guests will then be given the opportunity to guess the name and vintage of each wine served, and for wine experts who guess correctly, the wine flight will be free of charge, courtesy of The Beaumont.
