Irish Restaurants in Belfast
1. Ox
Irish restaurant in Belfast
1 Oxford St - BT1
Chef Stephen Toman receives exceptional ratings for his seasonal cuisine at this pared-down waterside venture, in line with its renown as one of the top kitchens on the island of Ireland. But by the standards of the mainland in particular it’s not a hugely expensive place, delivering a six-course tasting menu for £65. Also worth a look, his next-door wine bar, Ox Cave, offering “interesting wines from around the world including fine wines by the glass and exceptional Irish cheese and charcuterie”.
2. Molly’s Yard
Irish restaurant in Belfast
1 College Green Mews, Botanic Ave - BT7
2018 Review: “Small but with big ambitions” – this “tiny but amazing” courtyard eatery in converted Victorian stables turns “good locally-sourced produce into solid, tasty cooking” (“goat’s cheese pannacotta anyone?)”.
3. Noble
Irish restaurant in Holywood
27a Church Rd - BT18
2021 Review: “An amazing local eatery where you can always guarantee to find awesome local food cooked to perfection, and exceptional front of house staff” – so say fans of Pearson Morris and Saul McConnel’s small modern bistro above the Iona health food store.
