Angela Hartnett potégé Jessica Simmons pitches up in Kentish Town with her own take on traditional, British steakhouses – as the name would suggest, expect craft beers to go with your beef.

Beef & Brew offers a modern interpretation of traditional steakhouse fare, with a focus on provenance and value cuts. The menu eschews loins, ribs & fillets, instead embracing rumps, flat irons and onglets. The drinks list, meanwhile, showcases the best of the British brewing scene. Simmons (previously with Angela Hartnett at Murano and the Whitechapel Gallery Dining Room) also uses beer in a number of her recipes, inspired by her time setting up the kitchen at London Fields Brewery.

Beef and Brew launched on 23 September in Kentish Town, just a stone’s throw from the train station.
