A pair of former regulars at a pub in Queens Park have taken it over and “re-imagined” the venue, with an ambitious dining room that opened this week.
The new co-owners of The Salusbury are Gareth Cooper and Alex Payne, who both have backgrounds in the music industry – so impromptu events are to be expected. The kitchen is run by chef is Tarryn Bingle, who has worked at The Pem, La Trompette and Arbutus.
Alex says the pub “has always had a fun air of mischief about it which we intend to keep alive. We’re not here to take ourselves too seriously; we just want to give Queen’s Park a brilliant place to meet friends, share great food, and have a laugh.”
