2025 Review: Mixed vibes this year regarding ‘Yummy Brummie’ Glynn Purnell’s 2023 addition specialising in Spanish tapas, which occupies the ground floor of a Victorian building across the road from his main HQ (which sadly closed down in autumn 2024). In his October 2023 review, the Telegraph’s William Sitwell felt that a few of the dishes “could have done with some oomph, some seasoning, a little left hook to my taste buds” and this up-and-down theme carried through in the limited feedback we received in our annual diners’ poll: “this could be a great little restaurant and the two servers who dealt with us could not have tried harder, but we came away feeling let down by poor communication and running out of key items on a quiet evening”.
