A “mainly plant-based” (but not only) dockside diner, on Wapping Wharf, that was set up in 2017 and is part of the six-strong ‘The Pony Family’ group, which also includes a Root spin-off in Wells, Somerset, as well as a cookery school. The “intriguing establishment” (one of a number of container-based venues in this foodie city) offers a “very interesting selection of plates”, and, given their ethos, the “veggie plates are the best”.

The third site in Josh & Holly Eggleton, Rob Howell & Meg Oakley-Howell’s west country group opened in October 2025, offering a vegetable-led dining experience. The expansive space over two floors includes a rooftop terrace with city views and there are approximately 95 covers (30 inside, 15 on the terrace, 50 in the dining room).

Modern vegetarian bistro and grocer in the historic Abbey quarter with an “excellent laid-back atmosphere” and a focus on produce grown locally using eco-friendly farming techniques. One gripe this year: “everything came practically at once, even though I asked them not to do this”.
