Thai Restaurants in Oxford
1. Oli's Thai
Thai restaurant in Oxford
38 Magdalen Rd - OX4
“Still the best restaurant in Oxford” – especially if you’re into Thai food – this cult café delivers grub that’s “packed with flavour, in simple surroundings at immensely reasonable prices”; accordingly, it’s “disappointingly impossible to get a table” (unless you book ages in advance).
2. Chiang Mai
Thai restaurant in Oxford
Kemp Hall Passage, 130a High Street - OX1
“Eating green curry in a Tudor house is still a novelty” and fans of this slightly incongruous stalwart, tucked away off the High Street, say it’s “still very good in a city blessed with good Orientals”. That said, its cooking “has declined” from when it was Oxford’s top-rated venue in our survey (“how the mighty have fallen”) and, given its “really crammed” and sometimes “noisy” interior, its overall performance only seems fair-to-middling nowadays.
