Sandwiches, Cakes, Etc Restaurants in Hyde Park Corner
1. Le Deli Robuchon
Sandwiches, cakes, etc restaurant in Piccadilly
83 Piccadilly - W1J
2022 Review: Following closure of L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon and the death of the man himself, this Picadilly café is now one of two London ventures opened in late 2019 by the group he founded. It’s all very chic and continental, but you don’t come here for culinary adventure – but to buy or snack on everyday staples (lots of tempting patisserie and viennoiserie, lasagna, club sandwich, Caesar salad…).
2. Ten11
Sandwiches, cakes, etc restaurant in Belgravia
1 Knightsbridge - SW1X
Shopped out from Harrods and over from the UAE? Stroll along to Hyde Park Corner (next to the Lainsborough) and you can now find a branch of this Gulf-based chain with 23 branches internationally: this is the first in the UK. From morning to evening, it serves premium coffee, delicious breakfast items like The Croissant Crown and Shakshuka Imperiale, with lunch options including The Knightsbridge Croque and Wild Mushroom Risotto. Other sample dishes include Caesar Salad, Park Supergreen, Matcha Basque Cheesecake, and Pumpkin Crème Brûlée.
3. Cedric Grolet, The Berkeley
Sandwiches, cakes, etc restaurant in Belgravia
Wilton Place - SW1X
“£12 for a lavender latte that was so tasty… great to look at but very pricey” – that’s the story really surrounding most of the products at this deluxe bakery space: the first outlet outside Paris for the acclaimed pâtissier, opened in 2022 in a swanky hotel just off Knightsbridge. Top billing goes to the famous ‘Goûtea’ – for a mere £130 per person, you can enjoy an ‘elevated twist on afternoon tea’ as you sit at the counter, sip fizz and watch the preparation of your savoury miniatures and sweet pâtisserie. A luxury for sure, but no gripes were reported this year.
