Featured Dulwich Restaurants
1. The Rosendale British, Modern restaurant in Dulwich 65 Rosendale Rd - SE21
This “lovely, relaxed” Victorian coaching inn in West Dulwich is “great with the kids – and the dog!”. The food is simple but consistent – “never had a bad meal there”.
2. Heritage Indian restaurant in Dulwich 101 Rosendale Road - SE21
Fine-dining Indian from executive chef Dayashankar Sharma, who is head chef at Grand Trunk Road and has worked at Tamarind and Zika in his 30-year career. Expect regional small plates and Indian-inspired cocktails; opening Spring 2021.
3. Yard Sale Pizza Pizza restaurant in Dulwich 39 Lordship Lane - SE22
A Dulwich branch for the expanding pizza chain that specialises in 48-72 hour fermented dough; there's a few seats inside but this branch will be largely for delivery.
4. Yama Momo Japanese restaurant in LONDON 72 Lordship Ln - SE22
The “very good cooking at this Japanese fusion place” – an offshoot of stalwart Clapham hotspot, Tsunami – makes it a popular option in East Dulwich. Service, though “sweet”, has slipped a notch, though: “they sometimes seem more interested in serving cocktails than getting the food sorted”.
5. Deliciously Ella The Kitchen Counter Vegetarian restaurant in Dulwich 290 Milkwood Road - SE24
The third of Deliciously Ella's delis, offering an all-day menu of healthy, 'plant-based goodness'. In 2017 the group of three venues (in Marylebone, Mayfair and Dulwich) underwent a makeover and rebranding, they were formerly Mae Delis.
6. Dulwich Lyceum Mediterranean restaurant in Dulwich 7 Croxted Road - SE21
Sibling to Peckham Bazaar, John Gionleka’s relatively recent Dulwich arrival (which opened in October 2019) focuses – like its sibling – on cooking over a grill. Despite the theatrical connotations of ‘Lyceum’ in its name, this moniker is chosen to chime with its interesting East Mediterranean cuisine, not its premises (which are of a smartish, neighbourhood joint, not any kind of venue-conversion).
