This “very good modern Turk” uses high-quality ingredients, including organic meats from Wales, to produce some interesting meals in this under-served town, and it “gets busy and can be very noisy”. There’s a spinoff branch in Berkhamsted.
With its “interesting” and “beautifully flavoured” dishes to share or hog, and “using only organic meat and poultry”, this “noisy” Turkish dining room is “really unexpected for a not particularly amazing location (off the High St) and in an otherwise culinary desert”. (There’s a sibling Tabure on Berkhamsted’s High Street.)
“Family run and it shows” – a modern Turkish three-year-old, where reporters are struck by the “enthusiasm in all aspects”; the brasserie-style room offers “inspired food with zest” and there’s “always something new to try” on the tapas-led menu.
Opened in spring 2015 by a husband-and-wife team, this “very friendly” tiled venue, in the city centre, is already “a real favourite” thanks to its “delicious modern take on Turkish tapas”.
