A “very relaxed country house hotel” – an old Scots Baronial castle with medieval tourelles (mini-turrets) – whose food, by all accounts, “matches the ambience”; it’s “a bit out of the way just for dinner” (30 miles from Edinburgh) so “worth staying for the full experience”.
