Farmyard is a Norwich based 'Bistronomy' style restaurant, where a relaxed 'bistro' experience meets the top quality produce and vibrant flavours normally found in "gastronomic" fine dining joints. Everything is prepared in our open kitchen, including the sourdough bread, baked every day using our "mother" and our handmade butter. Meat, fish and vegetables are cooked over charcoal on our "Bertha" oven for incredible flavour.
Our approach is simple; handpicked ingredients, great cooking, carefully chosen wine and knowledgeable service in a refreshingly contemporary space.
Open from Monday evening to Saturday we serve a daily changing a la carte menu using produce sourced from some of Norfolk's most passionate producers. We also serve a 2 or 3 course set-price menu between 12 and 2.30pm for lunch from Tuesday to Saturday and between 5.30pm and 6.30pm for pre theatre dining.

"The food here is very good. Mussels are prepared in a richly flavoured liqueur, cod comes with large, beautifully flaking chunks, and the little cod croquettes served as a mini-starter or tempting side plate are exquisite. But...the service is too informal: many of us do not like 'Hi, guys!' as a greeting, nor do we appreciate a banal 'Perfect!' after every selection or request. Should food of this quality be served in jeans, with nose-ring and tattoos on full display? The obvious answer in a sane world is 'No!'. Much excellent food to admire here, but there are some silly, faddish, almost rather immature elements. It would be so easy to transform this from satisfactory to excellent."
