Harden's says

Part of a £60m refurb of the Theatre Royal (nickname ‘The Lane’) started in 2019. Very simple all-day dining incorporate breakfast, lunch, and after-work drinks. Afternoon tea will be available later in the year when they open the Grand Saloon.

"We went for afternoon tea this afternoon. It is served in a lovely room. The savouries were tasty and it was a change not to have sandwiches. The cakes were superb, served on individual plates othwise it would have been difficult serve sticky toffee pudding. The scones were disappointing and my friend's was raw inside, clearly from a different batch to mine which was well cooked but her replacements had the same issue. The customer service was exceptional and the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. We would definitely return and I would recommend."
