“A little corner of authenticity in an ever-more-gentrified bit of London”, this Portuguese café in North Kensington’s Golborne Road has been famous for its pastéis de nata for more than 20 years – and, despite increased competition, fans swear they’re “still the best custard tarts in town”.
“It feels like Lisbon with the bustle and blue tiles” when you visit this long-established North Kensington café. Expect excellent coffee and “great cakes at keen prices” including “the best pastéis de natas outside (or possibly inside) Portugal”.
“Simply the best pastéis de nata in London, and excellent coffee too” make it worth adding this “truly unpretentious” and “good value” Portuguese café into a trip down Portobello way, although NB “it’s very crowded most of the time”.
“Pastéis de nata to die for” are a prime attraction at this lively Portuguese café – an excellent complement to a trip to nearby Portobello Market.
