“The place I return to over and over again” – this popular Pimlico spot in a hotel near Victoria station excels for its modern Venetian cicchetti (“Italian small/sharing plates”) and “demon cocktails”. Top Tip – “the airy room comes out best at lunchtime”.

This “cracking” venue near Victoria station wins high praise for its Venetian cicchetti – small plates that “never fail to please and surprise”. There’s disagreement on the atmosphere – to many it’s “so warm and welcoming”, but there’s also a view that “it suffers from being part of a hotel”.

“Delicious food just keeps coming” at this rather “unique” Venetian cicchetti (small-plates) outfit, attached to a hotel near Victoria station, whose “fun” style has helped it acquire a major following. There’s “charming service from a close-knit Italian team” who treat children with “welcoming joy”.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Terrible food in a restaurant that is basically in the foyer of a non-descript hotel. Staff were attentive despite the terrible food. We sent most of our dishes back. Eventually opting for cheese and charcuterie options. "

"Great to have the great atmosphere still buzzing. Cooking remains very good, but the prices are noticeably higher. Service as charming and Italian as before, but they have been short-staffed. A continuing asset to the area. "
