“Fabulous views of the Thames” from this modern Italian in the new development next to City Hall make it “perfect for giving out-of-town guests the full London experience”. “The food has sufficient interest, but the real draw is the panoramic view from HMS Belfast to Tower Bridge”.

“Because of the fabulous view of the Tower of London and the river”, this modern Italian (with large outside terrace) in the More London development by City Hall will attract custom come what may. Even those who consider it “overpriced” however, say the food’s “OK” and fans say it has it all: “really good pizzas”, “excellent pasta” and “a wonderful location thrown in”.

“Given its location, with a fantastic view of Tower Bridge” – not to mention a big outside terrace – “you would expect this to be a tourist trap”, but reports are upbeat on this large, “classy-feeling” two-floor newcomer in the More London development by City Hall (which opened in July 2020 on the site that was formerly a Strada). Chef Louis Korovilas previously headed up the kitchen at Bancone, making pasta the best choice here from the fairly traditional Italian menu. Early reports suggest it’s proving a very worthwhile addition – “not perhaps worth a trip, but – if you are in the area – well worth a visit”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
