For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Legare Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Great place! Good food and wine, lively atmosphere and good value. Excellent little Italian restaurant tucked away in the maze of cobbled streets this is Shad Thames. Outstanding focaccia while waiting for the first courses which were superb – the onglet beef being particularly good. The main course dishes were the weakest point of the meal, rather too oily (the pasta with sausage meat was very average), but they were still enjoyable – it is only due to this course that the cooking gets 4 rather than 5. Desserts were good and very Italian. The wine we had was excellent and was decent value. Very good espresso to close. Nice, busy atmosphere. Very good service and a very reasonable bill at the end. Thoroughly recommended!"
"Excellent authentic Italian dishes - perfect for a business lunch too."
