It’s known for its “friendly welcome and the fantastic quality of its fish” – “there are other fish ‘n’ chip shops in the area, but Toff’s is tops”. Sadly, George Georgiou, the co-owner with his brother Costas, died of Covid in April 2020; his widow Giga and son Christopher have stepped in to continue his legacy. Now in its 54th year, Toff’s is named after a former owner, Andreas Ttofalli.

"A change of ownership, while widely lamented, has actually given a bit of a fillip to an offering that was getting a bit relaxed. Chips seem better, maybe more frequent oil changes, and grilled fish remains strong."
