Summary
Yorkshire-born chef, Jonathan ‘Jono’ Hawthorne (a MasterChef: The Professionals 2020 finalist) presides over this city-centre hotspot, presenting a nine-course menu for £79 per person (as well as a five-course alternative, and various other vegan, vegetarian and Sunday lunch options). Many of the city’s fooderati feel he is unfairly overlooked by the tyre men, but it inspired limited and slightly mixed feedback this year in our annual diners’ poll: from “Wow!… what an experience… lovely lovely food” to the odd let down.

Yorkshire-born Jono Hawthorne has worked in leading kitchens including the Box Tree in Ilkley, Noma in Copenhagen and the Quay in Sydney – and is now making a real name for himself in Leeds.
