Harden's survey result
Gary Usher’s crowdfunded follow-up to Sticky Walnut (the first of several) “describes itself as a local bistro, but it’s far better than that”, offering “novel, well-prepared and VERY tasty cooking” in a “quaint and cosy cottage” in the centre of a village on the Wirral.
“You feel at home instantly” at Gary Usher’s acclaimed crowdfunded bistro – his first follow-up to Sticky Walnut, “in a pretty cottage in the centre of this village on the Wirral”. All feedback on the grub is upbeat: “novel, inventive, well-prepared and VERY tasty”.
Gary User’s crowdfunded bistro yearling – a simply decorated two-storey building on the Wirral – has quickly won a strong fan club with its “novel, well thought-out dishes and cleverly selected wine in convenient volumes”; service, though sometimes “a little slow”, is “cheerful and knowledgeable” too.
Gary Usher, owner of Chester’s majorly popular ‘Sticky Walnut’ (see also) set up his new Wirral venture crowd-funded by seed capital website, Kickstarter. It opened in July 2015 – too late for survey feedback – but we hear good things about its affordable, accomplished food and light, contemporary interior.

"The friendly, cheerful and very knowledgeable staff make you feel at home instantly - and the food! novel, inventive, well prepared and VERY tasty. Described as a "small, local bistro" - What an example of English understatement !"
